True Sound.jpg
True Sound was born in September of 2001.  Their sound blended the energy of live rock-n-roll with the grooves of funk and hip-hop, and is cemented with the consciousness of reggae.  The soulful vocals, the potent lyrical compositions, and the all-star rhythm section make this the most dangerous band to emerge in some time.  Seven dedicated musicians making music with a purpose.

Dead Mockingbirds Influences may be placed upon them, like the Stooges gangbanging the Beatles, but simply put, they’re loud, wild, and a lot of fun. They hit like a summer in Dallas: hot and sweaty. Riffs hang heavy like a wet flag, sticking to the side of your mind and will have you humming hooks for days. A. MUST. SEE. Single: “Jeffrey” off the album Black

The Prof.Fuzz 63 is a Dallas-based lo-fi fuzzed-out garage-folk trio that’s been described by one listener as the “love child of Tom Waits and the Supersuckers.” Someone else said we sound like the Velvet Underground, “but not as cool as Lou Reed, because, who is?” Yet another critic said we sounded like “1991 Mudhoney with fuzzed out guitars and British Invasion organ.” We’re ok with those descriptions. We sing songs about food, sex, kittens, crustaceans, pandas, seduction…

Ethnic Detour’s diverse group brings variety to its music Emerson Blais, staff writer | Posted: Tuesday, October 11, 2005 12:00 am Walking into the She-Sha Cafe & Hookah Lounge is like entering Constantinople. The first impression is one of a crowded, chaotic, but comfortable cacophony. After making it past the initial wall of indiscernible smoke at the doorway, strawberry, apple and grape tobacco blends drag nostrils toward comfortable seating and board games. Some people hang out at…

Tall the Band.jpg
TALL is the brainchild of frontman Eric Barron.  Based in Dallas, TX, the band’s sound draws from a sonic palette of garage, indie, psych, surf punk, & doo wop. In January 2014, Eric recorded and self-released a limited amount of four-song handmade demo cassettes under the name TALL. Shortly after this release, Eric met bassist Yaschua Duprey and drummer Jon Jackson. Chemistry developed quickly and by mid-April the band recorded a seven-song demo in the garage of Eric’s parents house.…
