It was once foretold and etched on a single clay tablet that in the year of our Lord 2017 a band will be formed from a single lump of masa. A band that will galvanize the DDFW freak scene with their sunny brand of lo-fi pop rock. As they draw upon Dr. Roberts special cup they will embark upon a soul-bending voyage that reflects the full range of the audible experience – from sing along anthems and blissful, blasted pop to brain-twisting baroque. It was written and so it shall be.
Bomethius is the lo-fi baroque pop alias of Jonathan Hodges, a Dallas-based composer and multi-instrumentalist. Mostly self- taught, Hodges handles the guitar and piano with skill but truly excels with the violin, an instrument he started playing at age 3. A former protégé of violinists Chee-Yun Kim, Alexander Serafimov, and Ivan Ženatý, he currently studies with Diane Kitzman at SMU.
